Day one in the Basic Essentials Beanie
Illustrative: a creator films a morning walk with the hat on, shows the $38.00 price on screen and says "Beanies Donated Since 2012" from the claims sheet.

Summary
| Roster | 0 to 10 creators in six weeks | Two creators go live each week: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. A proposed ramp, adjustable after the first read. |
|---|---|---|
| Who | Real wearers with small, honest audiences | Recruited from your 80,000+ reviews, the Ambassadors link and hand-found creators. Outreach goes through your team. |
| Production | 7 videos per creator per week | 303 creator videos a month at 10 creators. The volume is a proposal; the script calculates the total. |
| Pay | Three bands, base pay plus a cap | Starter, Standard and Premium, with caps from $600 to $1,500 per creator. All proposed. |
| Bonus | $50 flat past 100,000 views | One bonus per creator per month, organic views only. Proposed, with a separate bonus at the cap. |
| Compliance | A claims sheet copied from your site | Creators quote only sheet lines, like "Beanies Donated Since 2012". Anything else goes to #claims first. |
| Category rule | No health promises, no patient stories | Cancer is the cause, never the sales hook. Creators talk about the beanie and the sheet's giving lines. |
| Goal | $1 per 1,000 views | Proposed target. The simulator starts at $5.74 on $10,050 of cost and 1.8M views. |
| Report | One page, every Monday | Views, cost per 1,000 views, winners and losers by format. Losers killed early. |
| Decision | One person signs the claims sheet | I need one approver at Love Your Melon for the sheet and the giving wording before the first creator goes live. |

History
Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.
At Tabs I built a creator program and the paid engine beside it. The playbook here is the same: a small roster, one variable per test, losers killed early. Beanies are a different category and I have not run it, so the first weeks will show what transfers and what does not.
- monthly social impressions at Tabs
- 100M+
- views on one reel

Why now
80,000+
Reviews already written
The site lists 4.8 stars from 80,000+ reviews. That is a pool of people who already talk about the beanies and could be invited one by one.
Published10%
An Ambassadors link and a commission line
The site has an Ambassadors link and a line offering 10% commission through a personal link. A paid roster would sit next to that, not replace it.
Published500,000+
A member base to invite from
The site mentions 500,000+ members. A base this size is where the first invitations go, with your team's approval.
Published2025
Back to a family business
The site says LYM was bought back in 2025 and is again a small family business in Minnesota. A small, steady roster fits that better than a mass outreach blast.

Principles
One number to protect: $1 per 1,000 views
The proposed target is $1 per 1,000 views. The simulator starts at $5.74 on $10,050 of cost and 1.8M views. We close that gap with experiments, not hope.
One variable per test
Same beanie, same claim, one change: the hook, the first shot or the creator. Losers killed early. Winners go into the hook library for the Basic Essentials Beanie at $38.00.
Claims come from your site, never from memory
Creators get a sheet of lines copied from loveyourmelon.com, like "Beanies Donated Since 2012". Anything off the sheet goes to the work channel before it goes on camera.
Ten creators, seven videos each, every week
Volume is the test engine: 7 videos per creator per week, 303 a month at 10 creators. Pay is capped, so a quiet creator costs little and a loud one cannot run away with the budget.

One channel for everything
#briefs
Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers
Brief botAppMon 8:30 AM
This week's brief: Basic Essentials Beanie, $38.00. One hook per video, claims only from the sheet, seven videos each. Drafts land in #drafts by Thursday.
Report botAppMon 9:00 AM
Monday report is up: videos by format, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, three winners flagged, losers killed. One decision needed from the brand lead.
JonasTue 10:15 AM
Can I say it is made in the USA? The Black Camo Knit Cap page says Imported.
Not for that cap. Use only the sheet line, "100% Cotton - 59 Color Blends - Made in New york", and only where that product's page agrees.
MarenThu 2:40 PM
Draft two makes a promise about patients. Cut it and reshoot. Use "Beanies Donated Since 2012" from the sheet or leave giving out of this one.
PriyaFri 4:05 PM
The color-blend video passed 100,000 views overnight. No boost on it, all organic.
Flag it in #winners. The $50 bonus applies once per creator this month, so we log it now.
Check botAppFri 4:10 PM
Check passed: claims match the sheet, paid-partnership tag present, no patient photo, no off-sheet donation number. Video is bonus-eligible.
The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Formats

Brief 01
Giving line first
“Beanies Donated Since 2012”
Hold the Basic Essentials Beanie to camera, say the line, put it on. One take, no cuts, daylight by a window.

Brief 02
Color blend swap
“100% Cotton - 59 Color Blends”
Lay out beanies from the Essentials range, pick one on camera, wear it through the day. Cut on each outfit change.

Brief 03
Price and shipping
“Free Shipping On Orders Over $100”
Stack the beanies you would bundle, show the $38.00 Basic Essentials price on screen, then the cart. Screen record plus voice.

Brief 04
Why I wear it
“Buy Beanies, Fight Cancer”
Talking head, shoulders up, beanie on. Say why you picked it and name the cause in your own words, never a patient's story.

Brief 05
Crowd proof
“LOVED BY 1,000,000+ CUSTOMERS”
Scroll the product page on screen, then put the beanie on. Say the line once, add no other numbers, end on the product page.
Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “100% Cotton - 59 Color Blends - Made in New york”, “Beanies Donated Since 2012”, “Free Shipping On Orders Over $100”. Product names are said as printed.
Part 6 of 15
Recruiting
Four sources in
Your 80,000+ reviewers
People who already wrote a review are wearers with a voice. Invitations go out through your team, one at a time, with the claims sheet attached.
The Ambassadors page
The site shows an Ambassadors link and a line about 10% commission through a personal link. I would start with those people before anyone cold.
Campus Crew
The site mentions a Love Your Melon Campus Crew at the University of Central Florida. Students who already wear the beanie and post are the first call.
Hand-found creators
Short-form creators with small, honest audiences, found by hand in cold-weather cities and in Minnesota, where the company is based again.
Five filters, fewer each step
1Already wears beanies
A hat is visible in past posts, any brand. We want people who wear hats, not people who rent them.
2Honest audience
Small and real beats large and bought. Real people in the comments on the last ten posts.
3Reads the sheet
A short test: quote one line from the claims sheet and name one thing it forbids.
4Seven a week
Can shoot seven videos a week without the work turning into a second job.
5Respects the cause
Comfortable talking about giving without borrowing a patient's story. The cause stays respectful.
Part 7 of 15
Who we want
Campus student
Walks to class in a beanie and posts quick daily clips. Shows the colors honestly, in daylight.
Likely product: Basic Essentials Beanie
Cold-weather commuter
Films the morning walk with the hat on and tells which beanie lasted the winter.
Likely product: Classics Beanie
Pom collector
Mixes poms and beanies and loves building a look from small parts.
Likely product: Individual Poms
Gym and run creator
Wears a headband on the run and talks fabric and fit, never fitness results.
Likely product: Black FitKnit LYM Scrunch Headband
Gift-minded parent
Shows a beanie for a child in the family. No child on camera unless a parent chooses it.
Likely product: Kids Knit Cap
Outfit-of-the-day dresser
Builds looks around a statement beanie and shows the shape on camera.
Likely product: Oversized Essentials Beanie
Left off, every time
Always left out: anyone who promises health outcomes, uses a patient's photo or story, or quotes donation numbers that are not on the sheet. The cancer cause is respected, never used as the hook for a sale.

No claim that wearing this beanie helps patients heal
A health outcome. Only the brand's own wording on the sheet is allowed.
Everything we make is made in the USA
The Black Camo Knit Cap page says Imported.
Every beanie is 100% cotton
The site says 99% cotton / 1% LYCRA for some styles, and caps use other fabrics.
Free shipping on every order
The site's line starts at orders over $100.
Warmer than any other beanie brand
A comparison with no source behind it.
Your purchase pays for a child's treatment
Donation mechanics go only by the sheet's wording, never by a creator's summary.
To confirm with the brand
Held until someone on the brand side signs off.
Buy One, Give One Beanies for Children Battling Cancer
The site's line, but the cart shows a counter and other pages describe a 15% revenue split. Confirm the exact mechanic.
30-Days Money-Back Guarantee
It appears on the site, but we have not read its terms or scope. Confirm before creators say it.
Our goal is to give away 100,000 beanies this year
The line does not state which year. Confirm the current goal before it is quoted.
Part 10 of 15
Pay
Starter
$300–600
a month, by band
For creators new to sponsored posts: lower base pay, lower cap, room to move up with proven hooks.
Bonus at the cap: $300
Standard
$500–1,000
a month, by band
For creators with a steady posting habit and a clean claims record on the Basic Essentials Beanie.
Bonus at the cap: $500
Premium
$800–1,500
a month, by band
For creators whose videos keep working: top base pay and cap, never above the monthly ceiling.
Bonus at the cap: $700
Under 100,000 views
$0
The base pay covers the work.
+$50 flat
Whatever the band.
Top-up to your cap
Bonus = band cap − base pay.
- The cap bonus is paid once per creator per month, and the flat $50 video bonus is also once per creator per month.
- Per video: the flat $50 applies to a single video that passes 100,000 views, not to a total across videos.
- Organic views only. Paid boosts, whitelisted spend and bought views never count toward any bonus.
- No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, even past 100,000 views.
Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.
The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.
Part 11 of 15
Simulator
Read it as a gap, not a forecast: $10,050 of cost on 1.8M views is $5.74 per 1,000 against the $1 target. Closing it takes 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median video at 21,711 views.

- Videos / month
- 303
- Est. views / month
- 1.8M
- Cost per 1,000 views

Above the $1 target at these inputs.
To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.
Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.
Part 11 of 15, continued
What moves the result
| If the median is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 750 | 1.4M | $10,050 | $6.96 | No |
| 1,500 | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 3,000 | 2.4M | $10,050 | $4.24 | No |
| If the viral share is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.3% | 1.2M | $10,000 | $8.44 | No |
| 0.5% | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 1% | 2.9M | $10,150 | $3.52 | No |
The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.
Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Warm-up
Sheet, bands, first six weeks
Six weeks to go live: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 creators. The claims sheet and pay bands are approved first, so no beanie video goes out unsigned.
Month 1
Ten creators, five formats
Ten creators, 7 videos each per week, 303 videos. First read on cost per 1,000 views against $1. Every format gets tested; nothing is scaled yet.
Month 2
Kill losers, build the hook library
Losers killed early. The best hook for each of the five formats enters the hook library, and Starter creators with a clean record can move up a band.
Month 3
Winners into paid tests
With the creator's written consent, winners move into paid tests on the Basic Essentials Beanie. One variable per test, one number to protect.
Day 90
Review
Cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, which formats earned a second quarter, and which creators stay on the roster.
Ceiling
The monthly ceiling
The monthly ceiling is $15,000: all 10 creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded. Proposed, and only reached if every creator earns the top band.
$15,000 Monthly ceiling, all 10 creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded Proposed
The roster grows by two creators a week, so hook performance can be read week over week instead of by anecdote.
Part 13 of 15
Reporting

Part 14 of 15
From organic to paid
From organic to paid
Organic first
Every video posts organic. Nothing is boosted until it has had a full week of views.
Pick the winners
Videos above the median for their format and with a clean claims check are flagged in #winners.
Ask the creator
Written consent for paid use, and pay for that use is its own decision. Terms are agreed with the creator, never assumed.
Test one variable
A paid test changes one thing: the hook, the first shot or the audience. Losers killed early.
From the video to the checkout
- Send fit and style videos to the Basic Essentials Beanie product page at $38.00.
- Send color-blend videos to the Essentials collection.
- Send gift-minded videos to the Classics collection.
- Send bundle videos to the cart, where "Free Shipping On Orders Over $100" applies.
- Send custom-look videos to Build Your Own Beanie, which starts at $35.
Part 15 of 15
Category rules
Apparel with a cause: rules for creators
The beanie is the product. The cause is real, and the giving lines on the sheet are the only ones creators use. The same rules apply to all ten creators from day one.
Disclose every post
Tag every paid post as a paid partnership, in the video and the caption. It is the first check on every draft, and a post without it comes down.
Giving lines come from the sheet
Say "Beanies Donated Since 2012" or another giving line on the sheet. Never invent a count, and ask in #claims about the one-for-one wording before using it.
No health promises
Beanies are apparel. No claim about patients, treatment or recovery. Creators may name the cause in the brand's own sheet words and nothing beyond.
Patients and children
No patient photos, names or stories from the brand's pages. No child on camera unless a parent chose it. The cause is never a prop.
Fabric and origin exactly
Material and origin differ by product: the Black Camo Knit Cap page says Imported, the sheet line says Made in New york. Say only what that product's page says.
Price and shipping as shown
Quote the price the product page shows, like $38.00 for the Basic Essentials Beanie. Free shipping starts at orders over $100. No deadlines the brand did not publish.
The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
